Project Griffin
The Paris Project Griffin pilot has now been given the green light with an expected launch date late summer/early autumn, following a second visit in March from French colleagues. This included a behind-the-scenes look at a Project Griffin Awareness Day and site visits to Lloyd’s of London and the Gherkin, 30 St Mary Axe. As well as being impressed with the tours of both iconic locations, they were equally impressed with the levels of security and genuine co-operation between the private/public sector that Project Griffin facilitates. They met with a variety of stakeholders including security officers, senior management and security providers at these locations and asked many questions.
Additionally, we hosted a second visit for our Dutch colleagues in early April who also benefited from a full day’s itinerary attending the Project Griffin Awareness Day at Wood St, with visits to the Gherkin and Lloyd’s of London.
The success of these visits would not have been possible without the support of those involved, who champion the values of Project Griffin. On behalf of the London Executive Board I would like to thank Danny Moody (CBRE, St Mary Axe), Ashley Heyward (Lloyd’s), Malcolm Brown (VSG at Lloyds), Steve Brewer (VSG at Lloyd’s) Adrian Moore (VSG), Ian Mansfield (Standard Chartered Bank) and Alexander Williams, CoLP Police.
