Awards made at Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Spring Ball
Thank you to the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals who invited us to make the presentation for the award at their Spring Ball. It was a wonderful night with music provided by the ‘Blues Brothers’ and magnificent auction and raffle raising an amazing amount for charity.
Background to the Awards
With so many excellent security-related articles published in City Security magazine and on our website, we feel that the authors should be recognised for their outstanding contribution to making us and the corporate world more security aware. Therefore, we set up the first ever City Security Article of the Year Award sponsored by SSR Personnel and ICTS UK and Ireland.
Selecting the finalists
The finalists for the City Security magazine Article of the Year Award 2019 were selected from articles published in the last twelve months’ editions (Autumn & Winter 2018 and Spring & Summer 2019) and then subsequently published online on the citysecuritymagazine.com website.
For each edition, the top two articles were selected as finalists, based on the number of views for each article, since publication online, until 14th November 2019. By selecting two articles per edition, it means the articles from earlier editions do not have an unfair advantage of being online longer.
Selecting the winner
The competition was launched on 11th December 2019 with advertising, a voting page on the website and social media.
Only subscribers to City Security magazine were eligible to vote – one vote per subscriber. If an individual was not already a subscriber and wanted to vote, they could subscribe as part of the voting process.
By completing the voting form you wlll automatically be subscribed to receive City Security magazine each quarter in digital format, our bi-weekly security eReview and occasional emails relating to security that you may may find of interest. You can unsubcribe at any time. City Security magazine will not pass any of your details onto third parties. We have a GDPR policy that we adhere to.
Voting closed on the 17th January and all votes have been collated by the Editor. Full results are published on the website. The Editor’s decision is final.
The winner will receive a prestigious plaque and certificate and will be announced at the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals’ Spring Black Tie Dinner & Dance on the 29th February at the Leonardo Hotel London, previously The Grange City, and subsequently at the City of London Crime Prevention Association March meeting. Details available on request.
